Among the many noteworthy enhancements to the most recent CS2 patch is the brand new 2024 Service Medal. New features that improve the quality of life have been added to the most current edition, along with minor changes to the maps. Check out the latest CS2 update on December 13, 2023, to see what’s new.
The most recent CS update—what’s new?
Members of Counter-Strike: 2 can now add each other in-game using a buddy code. This is a significant improvement over the previous method since it removes any possibility of misunderstanding and creates unique codes for every account. The addition to Counter-Strike is much appreciated, as this has long been accessible in Valve’s other game, Dota 2.
Some of the older demos would bug out in CS2 and would simply not play, which was a problem for pros and even some higher-ranked players. The latest update claims to solve this issue.
Problems with crashing in CS2 were observed by even pros and higher-ranked players using specific older demos. This bug is supposedly fixed in the most recent patch.
Finally, on January 1, 2024, gamers will have the opportunity to claim their 2024 Service medal. Valve introduced the service medal in 2015. Players can get the service medal once they reach Level 40 in the game. Players can earn experience points by participating in on-official Valve servers ranked, unranked, or deathmatch matches. The service medals are a way for players to show off their “service” to the game in a more superficial way.
