Even though I agree with the general consensus that Faceit is too difficult and competitive, I think it ultimately comes down to personal preference. Faceit is great if you play with the intention of improving your game, but it’s not a smart choice if you play merely “for fun” (casually), as you’ll struggle.
Finding other players to play with, preferably better ones who can show you some tricks, will help you grow a lot faster if you’re really committed to getting better.
Everyone, regardless of skill level, is expected to have a premium experience with Faceit. Faceit is still better than matchmaking, in my perspective, even when they don’t provide 100%.
To me, the anticheat feature is Faceit’s crowning achievement. As a result of its greater invasiveness, it outperforms VAC. Do dishonest people exist today? I would say so. In about 300 Faceit games, I have encountered a handful of questionable individuals, but I have never encountered any blatant cheating as you would in nearly every other massively multiplayer game.
